The architect designed house is clad in vertical corrugated steel and comprises three “pavilions” connected by walk-ways.
The pavilions are fully insulated, including the floors, exterior walls and ceilings.
The main pavilion consists of a large living area with modern kitchen and dining, laundry/utility room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and office/bedroom. The bedrooms and living area have full sliding and fixed glazing opening onto a deck overlooking the river. The kitchen overlooks an established native garden with extensive views of native forest covered hills. The living area has a high raked ceiling with clear double glazed skylights flooding the interior with natural light.
The second pavilion is a large (8 x 8 metre) room with 3.6 metre high north east wall being fully glazed and opening onto 3.6 x 8 metre deck overlooking river. The interior is clad in corrugated steel (including ceiling). The south west wall has full width glass louvres providing cross draught ventilation and views of native forest covered hills.
The third pavilion comprises a large bedroom with tea making facilities and en-suite bathroom with bath, toilet and separate shower. The north east wall is fully glazed with two sliding doors opening onto deck overlooking the pristine Karuah River.
There is a 9 x 6 metre two vehicle lock-up garage with workshop/storage area plus separate carport.
Large 17.5 x 7.5 metre lockable machinery shed with concrete floor plus attached 3.7 x 7.5 metre undercover space for farm equipment.
There is a small circular cattle yard with loading ramp and water trough.
