Power

Power is provided by a 240 volt “off grid” system comprising: more info

  • 3.8 kilo watt solar array
  • 48 volt 1200 amp hour battery bank
  • 4.5 kilo watt 240 volt inverter
  • 10.5 kilo watt auto start diesel generator

Power is then fed underground from garage to distribution board in main house.

Water

Water is pumped from the river, through a filter, to a 45,000 litre storage tank on the property. The storage tank is located at a height to provide a static pressure, at the house, of approximately 35 psi.
Water is then gravity fed from the tank, via a 50 mm pipe, to the workshop, cattle trough, house, garage, irrigation system, fire hose and sprinklers on main body of house.
Water to the kitchen and refrigerator ice maker is additionally filtered through a “two stage” cartridge type “full house” filter.

Sewage

Sewage is treated by a Council approved “Aerated Water Treatment System” (AWTS). The treated waste water is then pumped under the road to a fenced transpiration area.
